It was luck that kept Bonnie and Michael out of the orphanage when their parents died in the fire, luck and sheer determination on her brother's part. Michael was always afraid someone would try to take his sister away from him, and so when it looked like their money was going to run dry, they sold their last belongings and the few "valuables" that had survived the fire and left the city to make it on their own.

Michael raised her as best he could, but the most he could really do out in the middle of the mountains was teach Bonnie a bit of history, attempt a bit of manners, and as their father had been a carpenter, a little bit of the trade Norman had passed down to Michael. Together they built their tiny shack they have called home for the past eleven years.

It's been almost that long since Bonnie has actually seen another person that wasn't her brother, so returning to Fairn and attending Everthorne is something of a cultural shock to her.

Michael was never very successful in his mission to teach Bonnie how to be a proper, or at least a decent, young lady. She's a bit shy at first, having not socialized with other girls and boys her age for almost a decade.

Once she gets talking, though, she's far from shy, and is somewhat rude, mostly in pointing out the blatant obvious.

Bonnie stands at about five feet and three inches, and has long, messy auburn hair.
